Andrea Wagner, co-chair of the raffle said, "Celebrating the 4th of July is an event the entire town can get behind.  And, from the support we've received in asking for donations it looks like the entire town is doing just that."
"I agree 100% with Andrea (Wagner).  Bucks for Booms, this raffle and a few more events the committee is planning will give everyone in the area an opportunity to help in their own way," said co-organizer of the raffle Lynn Domokos.  Lynn continued, "From the beginning we didn't look at this as a one year commitment.  The planning committee wanted to do as much as we could to plan for the 2009 4th of July Celebration and beyond."
When asked for a comment Mayor Tester said, "There are many things that make me proud to be from Port Clinton.  This planning committee is really dedicated to the cause.  Watching how the entire community has stepped up to the plate in support of this event is just another reason I smile with pride when I tell someone I live in PC."
The winning raffle tickets will be drawn by Mayor Tester at the June 24th Port Clinton City Council Meeting.  Winners will be notified and need not be present to win.
