Dear Editor,
I think I've figured out why there
is ever increasing gas and diesel prices, and offer the
following.
The government encouraged all to conserve fuel by
proper tire pressure, lower speeds, buy more efficient vehicles, and
plan our driving routes.
As a high mileage driver, I bought a diesel car 11 months
ago that averages 49 miles per gallon to help the cause.
Since then, diesel prices have increased $.86 cents a gallon to
$4.19 per gallon, and regular gas is up to $3.29 or more?
I expect truckers will start a turnpike slow down as they did in
1975?
Recall the late 90's and California Utility Companies
" rolling brown outs" (to justify their increase rates for more
power plants), yet when the curtain was pulled back, we all discovered
Oz was just greedy, and there was plenty of electrical generating capacity.
The whole issue was criminal fraud!
I now suggest that the mostly foreign owned oil companies we
depend on realize that in 2009 and 2010, domestic and off
shore auto manufacturers are going to flood the USA marketplace
with new generations of high mileage diesel cars, some getting better
than 50 miles per gallon.
Like Europe where 55-60% of autos are high mileage diesels, the same
trend can happen here, and that would have a huge negative impact
on the energy terrorists gasoline sales, and the
enormous profits generated. (one oil company announces
an $80 Billion dollar profit last year )!
Who will buy the new high mileage diesel car, pay the higher
sticker price, when diesel pump prices push $4.65-$4.99 a gallon, and
gas remains $.75 to .$.90 cents a gallon cheaper?
We were always told it was always cheaper to refine diesel than gas,
(what happened there)?
Like the west coast electric utilities fraudulent rip off
attempt, we will one day discover the stories of low oil supplies,
China's increase usage, lack of refinery capacity, shutdowns, pipeline
capacity, exploration costs, and all the rest of the Bravo Sierra,
only to find hidden behind that curtain , a foreign oil company
OZ, pulling our handle and laughing at those stupid Americans and their
continued purchasing of gas auto's!
Perhaps someone in our government will come out of
their cocoon, investigate this international energy gang
rape before the US economy stalls, and inflation eats our collective
lunch!
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Kenneth Benjamin
