Former Danbury Student Inducted into Hall of Fame |

Chad Clemons was inducted into the TAAC (Toledo Area Athletic Conference) Hall of Fame on April 19. The induction ceremony was held at the Inverness Country Club in Toledo. Chad was introduced by his volunteer track coach, Chris Twarek. Tom Cole, Buckeye Cable Sports Network personality, made the presentation.
Chad, a 2003 Danbury High School graduate, set school records in the 110M high hurdles and 300M Hurdles, which his brother, David, broke three years later. He was all League three years, all District four years and all-Region for two years in track. He culminated his track and field career for Danbury at the 2003 State Championships in Dayton, scoring 19 points. He was on the podium three times, finishing 5th in the 300M Hurdles, 4th in the 110M High Hurdles and was the State Champion in the high jump.
Chad accepted a Track Scholarship to Kent State University in 2003, where he was part of the 2004 Kent State Mid American Outdoor championship team. He began training as a multi-event athlete in the decathlon and heptathlon after his freshman year as well as continuing his high jumping. His 3rd place finish in the heptathlon at the Mid American Conference Indoor Championships his Junior year was just many of his accomplishments while continuing to establish personal bests in all of his events.
Chad graduated from Kent State in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration. He lives in the Akron area and has begun his business career as an Executive Team Leader in retail management.
