danbury.jpgAs retiring Superintendent of Danbury Local Schools Martin Fanning finishes this year, the school system has chosen a new superintendent to step up to the plate next year.
Dan Parent, principal of Clearview High School in Lorain, was chosen out of 26 other applicants to replace Fanning.
Parent has 23 years of education experience. His notable accomplishments at Clearview include helping raise the school's state rating from Academic Emergency to Effective.
Parent and Fanning will be working together in July for a transition period, and Parent will start his new position at Danbury on August 1. He has a three-year contract through July 31, 2011.
