Make Plans for Summer Fun at Port Clinton City Schools

The last day of school for Port Clinton City School District students is June 5.  Even though students will no longer be in the classroom, there are numerous summer activities taking place in the district. Champions for Children will once again be offering the Summer Enrichment Camps.  There are eight, one-week sessions beginning on June 16 and ending on August 8.  The summer program offers child care from 7:30a.m. until 3 p.m. with aftercamp care available until 6 p.m. The last day of school for Port Clinton City School District students is June 5.  Even though students will no longer be in the classroom, there are numerous summer activities taking place in the district. Port Clinton High School Coaches also offer a variety of summer camps and clinics:  Youth Baseball Skills & Sandlot Camp - June 16-18, PCHS Baseball Field, Cost $35 and includes T-shirt.  Forms are available online at www.pccsd.net under "Parent Information".  Checks should be payable to the PC Youth Baseball & Softball Association.  Under the direction of Coach Tracy Bodi. Redskin Boys Basketball Camp - June 9-12 in the PCHS Gym.  Camp participants entering Grades 3-6 from 8:30 -11a.m.; Grades 7-10 from Noon until 3 p.m.  Pre-Registration cost is $35 for one family member; two family members $60; three or more family members $80.  At the door registration is $40 per player.  Forms are available at the school website, www.pccsd.net under "Parent Information".  Under the direction of Coach Troy Diels. Redskin Girls Basketball Camp - June 16-19 in the PCHS Gym.  Camp participants entering Grades 4, 5 or 6 from 8-10 a.m.; Grades 7-9 from 10 a.m.until Noon.  Cost is $25 for Grades 4-6; $30 for grades 7-9.  Forms are available at the school website, www.pccsd.net under "Parent Information".  Under the direction of Coach Toby Bickel. Port Clinton Football Camp- Join Coach Toby Hammond and staff for one of the sessions geared toward specific age groups.  On June 23- 26 is a camp is designed for players entering grades 7, 8 and 9 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at True-Lay Stadium.  Another camp designed for students in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be held July 14 - 17 at Port Clinton High School from 5- 7 p.m.  Cost is $35 per player for both sessions.  Contact Coach Toby Hammond at 419-734-4448 or download the registration form at www.pccsd.net under Parent Information. Soccer Camp- Coach Paco Romero holds this special summer clinic for children in grades Kindergarten through six from June 23-26.  Cost is $35 per student; $60 for two family members; $80 for three family members.  Grades k-3 will be held from 3 - 4:30 p.m.; Grades 4 -6 will be from 4:30 - 6 p.m.  Forms are online at www.pccsd.net under "Parent Information".  Contact Coach Romero at 419-734-2147 or 419-239-9491 for more information.
