The last day of school for Port Clinton City School District students
is June 5. Even though students will no longer be in the classroom,
there are numerous summer activities taking place in the district. Champions for Children will once again be offering the Summer Enrichment Camps. There are eight, one-week sessions beginning on June 16 and ending on August 8. The summer program offers child care from 7:30a.m. until 3 p.m. with aftercamp care available until 6 p.m. The last day of school for Port Clinton City School District students is June 5. Port Clinton High School Coaches also offer a variety of summer camps and clinics: Youth Baseball Skills & Sandlot Camp - June 16-18, PCHS Baseball Field, Cost $35 and includes T-shirt. Redskin Boys Basketball Camp - June 9-12 in the PCHS Gym. Camp participants entering Grades 3-6 from 8:30 -11a.m.; Grades 7-10 from Noon until 3 p.m. Pre-Registration cost is $35 for one family member; two family members $60; three or more family members $80. Redskin Girls Basketball Camp - June 16-19 in the PCHS Gym. Camp participants entering Grades 4, 5 or 6 from 8-10 a.m.; Grades 7-9 from 10 a.m.until Noon. Cost is $25 for Grades 4-6; $30 for grades 7-9. Forms are available at the school website, www.pccsd.net under "Parent Information". Under the direction of Coach Toby Bickel. Port Clinton Football Camp- Join Coach Toby Hammond and staff for one of the sessions geared toward specific age groups. On June 23- 26 is a camp is designed for players entering grades 7, 8 and 9 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at True-Lay Stadium. Another camp designed for students in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be held July 14 - 17 at Port Clinton High School from 5- 7 p.m. Cost is $35 per player for both sessions. Soccer Camp- Coach Paco Romero holds this special summer clinic for children in grades Kindergarten through six from June 23-26. Cost is $35 per student; $60 for two family members; $80 for three family members. Session I is June 16-26, Session II is July 7 to 17 for Grades 1 -6. Session III is only for students in grades 7-12 from July 28 -31.
