scout.jpgBoy Scout Troop 360 and Scoutmaster Ron Uebbing have announced that Brady Michael Krupp has earned the highest rank in Scouting, the Eagle Scout Rank.  The Trinity United Methodist Church in Port Clinton sponsors Troop 360.
In order for a Scout to earn the rank of Eagle Scout there are certain requirements that he has to meet.  First a Scout has to earn twenty-one merit badges, twelve of which are set down by the National Office and nine of his own choosing.  Brady has earned 28 merit badges at this time.  The Scout must hold a leadership office in his Troop. Brady has held the following offices: Order of the Arrow representative, Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader and is currently a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster.
The Scout must find a project that benefits his community, his church or his sponsoring body.  The Scout must get his project approved by the body that it benefits, the District Advancement Committee and his own Troop.  After getting everyone's approval the Scout can start his project.  Brady chose to create an outdoor educational photography studio for "Back to the Wild" which is a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation and nature education center in Castalia, OH.  It took Brady, Scout members, family and friends nearly 228 man hours and 3 months to complete this one-of-a-kind studio.  The educational outdoor photography studio consists of several upright "dead" trees with natural cavities for tree dwelling critters and just the right branches for birds of pray.  The site also consists of a few "fallen" trees that lay on the ground.  This studio gives adults and children a safe and natural back drop for learning about the natural world.  The studio also provides a natural setting for amateur and professional photographers who visit "Back to the Wild" from around the world.  Brady would like to thank the many people who helped him with this project, Mona and Bill Rutger, Directors of "Back to the Wild", Scoutmaster Ron Uebbing and former Scoutmaster Dave Barth, Grandpa White, Grandpa Krupp, Uncle Steve Peto, and all of the Scout members of Troop 360.  United State Gypsum Company also helped Brady, by donating safety glasses, gloves and first aid kits.
A Court of Honor will be convened on June 22 at 4:30 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church for the presentation of the Eagle Scout Rank to Brady Michael Krupp.
Brady is a member of Tindeuchen Lodge 522 Order of the Arrow.  The Order of the Arrow's purpose is to recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, to develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit, to promote Scout camping, to crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.
Brady has also earned all the ranks in Cub Scouting as a member of Pack 361, sponsored by St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton.  Brady is a Tiger Cub Graduate, and he also earned the Arrow of Light Rank.  This is the highest rank in Cub Scouting.
Brady is a senior at Port Clinton High School.  He is the Vice President of Port Clintons DECA chapter, on the year book staff and has been in Touch of Class, the highest singing ensemble all four years.  Brady has also enjoyed playing baseball and swimming while attending Port Clinton High School. Brady is also a member of Oak Harbor United Brethren Church, were he is active in the youth group.  Brady works part-time at Community Market in Port Clinton.  He enjoys playing the guitar, listening to music, art, photography, hunting, fishing and camping with his family.  Brady will be attending Hocking College in the fall of 2008 were he will study Wildlife Biology.
Brady is the son of Michael and Amy Krupp of Port Clinton.  He is the grandson of Thomas and Barb Krupp and Cliff and Shelia White also from Port Clinton.  Brady has been supported by his many Aunts, Uncles and cousins from Port Clinton, Elmore, Put-In-Bay and Liberty, Missouri.
