Get to know Republican Party principles and support the candidates by attending the Century Club Brunch of the Ottawa County Republican Party.  The Spring Brunch will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17 at the Nor'Easter Club on Catawba.  Those with interest in the Republican viewpoint are invited to join the group on the 17th and enjoy food as well as an informative speaker.

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for artisans and crafters for its 15th Annual Art & Craft Show to be held on Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. in downtown Port Clinton.  All items for sale must be handcrafted.  For more information, contact Sheila Powell at the Chamber at 419-734-5503.

Get your tickets for the James Park Improvement Raffle. Daisy Day, Inc. is holding the raffle to generate improvement funds for the James Park. Only 500 tickets will be sold at $10 each with a chance to win a framed Ben Richmond original oil painting valued at $2,900. The winning ticket will be drawn at the conclusion of the 2008 Daisy Festival on Saturday, May 10. All proceeds will be donated to the James Park Improvement Fund..

After nearly a year of intense organization and fund-raising, the next step in the re-building process for the Port Clinton Football Program began last Wednesday, as ground was broken adjacent to the locker room for a new weight training facility at True Lay Stadium. To date, over $80,000 in donations have been received to get this project off the drawing board into construction.
