Perch Sandwiches at Daisy Day Festival PDF Print E-mail

Perch Sandwiches will be available at Marblehead’s Lakeside Daisy Day Festival this year. The festival welcomes the Knights of Columbus to the schedule. This service organization will be cooking and serving perch sandwiches on Saturday, May 10, as part of the fifth annual Lakeside Daisy Day. Sandwiches will be sold from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the James Park Shelter House. Cost of the sandwiches is $5. Pop and chips will be sold by the Baseball/Softball for Youth League that day. Daisy Day Inc. is looking for volunteers for the 2008 Marblehead Lakeside Daisy Day festival on Saturday, May 10, and also for setup the evening prior to the event. Volunteers are needed for the following events: Richmond-James Park Raffle Sales; 50/50 ticket sales; Little Miss Daisy; the Car Show; LaFarge Quarry Tours; Ladder Golf Tournament; Information Booth; and setup crew.

Get your tickets for the James Park Improvement Raffle. Daisy Day, Inc. is holding the raffle to generate improvement funds for the James Park. Only 500 tickets will be sold at $10 each with a chance to win a framed Ben Richmond original oil painting valued at $2,900. The winning ticket will be drawn at the conclusion of the 2008 Daisy Festival on Saturday, May 10. All proceeds will be donated to the James Park Improvement Fund.

Tours of the LaFarge North America quarry operations are an important part of Marblehead’s Lakeside Daisy Day schedule. Daisy Day Inc. and the Village of Marblehead appreciate the support LaFarge has shown in the planning process for this festival over the last five years. Not only for allowing tours of the quarry operations, but for providing support as one of the festival’s lead sponsors.
