Bataan Day Ceremony Planned for May 23rd PDF Print E-mail

ImageThe annual Bataan Day ceremony will be Friday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. at True Lay Stadium.  In the event of inclement weather the ceremony will be held in Bataan's Gymnasium.
The students and staff of Bataan Memorial Elementary School invite members of the community to their Bataan Day Ceremony.

4H Horse Club Begins Season PDF Print E-mail

ImageOttawa County's Cinch & Saddle 4H Horse Club hosted a Pleasure Fun Show on Sunday, May 4 at Ranch Outback in Port Clinton, owned and operated by Loren and Maryann Moore.
The purpose of the educational show was to "kick-start" the show season.  The event allowed riders of all ages to have the opportunity to show their horse under Andy Bonner, Ohio Certified 4H Judge, in a casual setting and be able to receive immediate feedback on what the riders did correctly and what areas need improvement.

Oak Harbor FFA Scores BIG with Water Quality Display! PDF Print E-mail

Image“Hey, look at the crawfish we caught”, is possibly one of the comments that could have been heard from the students of the Oak Harbor FFA when they were doing water quality testing on the Portage.  The Portage River Basin is a watershed of approximately 1,100 square miles, with headwaters (the start) near Findlay, Ohio emptying into Lake Erie, near Port Clinton.
