OGT (Ohio Graduation Test) update - the sophomores had perfect attendance last week for their state test.  They were a tired group by Friday, but tried their best each day.  The results will be announced the end of May.  The JH OAT's (Ohio Achievement Tests) will be given the weeks of April 21 and 28.

Flower Sale Starts March 26th PDF Print E-mail

The Port Clinton Elementary Parents Club is sponsoring its annual flower sale from March 26 to April 16.  Flowers are being sold by the flat, hanging basket and per plant.  The sale is being run on a pre-paid basis. 
Flowers will be delivered on Monday, May 12 and may be picked up at Bataan Memorial Elementary School from Noon until 6 p.m.  Order forms are available at the elementary school offices, by calling Kristen Gerwin at 419-732-6248 or download the form from the district website www.pccsd.net under "Parent Information". 
A wide variety of flowers and colors are available which include: Alyssum, Begonias, Petunias, Marigolds, Impatiens, Salvia, Dwarf Snapdragons, Geraniums, Dracaena, Sprengeri, Vinca Vine and hanging baskets.  All proceeds will fund student activities.

Two Ottawa County Students Receive Ag Scholarship PDF Print E-mail

ScholarshipThe Ottawa County Agricultural Agencies hosted a very successful Ag Breakfast for producers and businesses on March 14th.   Agencies prepared the meal for the 130 attendees, which was held in honor of up-coming National Ag Week.

Amanda SmithThe Lions Club of the Marblehead Peninsula has announced the selection of Amanda Smith as January's Student of the Month. Amanda is a Danbury High School senior and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Smith.
Amanda is secretary of the Danbury High School National Honor Society and Key Club.  She is a member of the Art Club, Foreign Language Club and yearbook staff.   She is a member of the track team, lettering her sophomore and junior years.  Outside of school, she is a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church Choir and traveled with them to Italy during the Christmas holiday.
