Danbury Schools will resume on Monday, January 7.  There will be seven days of instruction, and then semester exams will begin on Wednesday, January 16.  High School students who have not missed more than four days of school - excused or unexcused (field trips are not counted as absences), no more than four tardies, and no more than one detention during the first semester, will be granted late arrival during the exam days: 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and 8:20 a.m. on Friday.

Stephanie Sedlak
Stephanie Sedlak, a student at Port Clinton High School, participated in The University of Findlay's Scholarship Competition Day in early December.
Sedlak is the daughter of Kim and Dan Sedlak, 635 Laurel Ave., Port Clinton, Ohio, 43452. Sedlak's activities include French club, National Honor Society, class officer, leadership council and Future Professionals in Medicine.

PCHS Students Collect Over 1,000 Canned Goods PDF Print E-mail

Port Clinton High School students responded to the needs of the community this holiday season.   
PCHS chapter of FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) sponsored a canned food drive at the High School for the Holiday Bureau as well as the Salvation Army's Angel Tree gifts for children.
1,050 canned goods and $380 were collected for Holiday Bureau, as well as over 100 toys were donated for this season.

The PCHS Band has been busy for weeks preparing for their performance schedule as they travel to Orlando, Florida.  One of those appearances will be televised on two local television stations.  The Citrus Bowl Parade will be taped and televised December 30 on Toledo 13 ABC at 1 p.m. and Cleveland Channel 5 at 2 p.m.

Oak Harbor National Honor Society Inducts Members PDF Print E-mail

Oak Harbor High School's National Honor Society inducted fifty-two new members selected for the junior and senior classes. The induction ceremony was held on November 19. Members were selected by a Faculty Council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership and character. The ceremony was conducted by this year's officers: Jamie Slauterbeck, Jillian McFarlan and Sarah Will.
