Stars, Stripes & SOUSA Coming to Performing Arts Center PDF Print E-mail

For their final performance of the 2007-08 school year, the Port Clinton High School Band is preparing a tribute to the "March King" himself, John Philip Sousa. Rod Miller, Director of Bands, will portray Mr. Sousa as he directs the concert.   Mr. Miller says, "While most people are familiar with John Philip Sousa, they are not familiar with the many details of his concerts."   Contrary to what some may assume, a Sousa Concert is not all Sousa marches.

ICS Students Visit Johnson's Island PDF Print E-mail

Immaculate Conception School sixth grade students and Jane Drusbacky recently traveled to Johnson's Island.  After studying eight weeks about the history of Johnson's Island and artifacts, we visited the area on the Island where Civil War prisoners were buried.  Dr. Bush from Heidelburg College guided the group during the archeological dig and explained some important facts about the people buried in this area.

Do You Want To Be A Paramedic? PDF Print E-mail

Certified EMTs who would like to ascend to the highest level of an Emergency Medical Technician are invited to attend a Paramedic Class offered this fall by the Vanguard-Sentinel Adult Center Public Safety Program. Classes will start on September 11, held once a week on Thursdays and continue throughout the year until Summer 2009. The required pre-testing will be held this May and June during the day and evening.
