Betty L. Kozlok, 86, of Port Clinton, died March 5 at Edgewood Manor
Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born August 22, 1921 in
Amsterdam, Ohio, the daughter of Albin and Jessie (Brown) Truex.
Betty was employed at the Standard Products Company during the war
while raising their new daughter alone as her husband was off fighting
in WWII. She later retired in 1980 from the former Perry Pharmacy.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, a 50 year
member of the Sunrise Garden Club and a member of the Women of the
Moose.

William J. Kohbarger, 75, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Friday,
March 7, 2008 at H. B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was
born on March 13, 1932 in Marion, OH, the son of Dale and Desdamae
Lillian (Winters) Orr. Bill worked as a police officer for the Port
Clinton Police Department for 23 years retiring in 1999. Prior to that
he was a police officer in Marion, OH. William and Hazel owned and
operated the Town and Country Restaurant in Port Clinton for 10 years.
He served in the U. S. Air Force. Bill was a member of the Elks Lodge
#1718. He was the past president and secretary of the Port Clinton
Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #79.

Chad L. Kitchin, 37, of Port Clinton, died Friday, March 7, 2008 in
rural Fremont. He was born Jan. 18, 1971 in Port Clinton. Surviving
are his son: Nicholas Kitchin of Tampa, FL; mother: Carol Denise Moreno
of Port Clinton; significant other: Karen Conners of Fremont; brothers:
Jeremy (Eva) Kitchin of Graytown, Carlos (Monica) Moreno of Port
Clinton; grandmother: Betty Turner of Port Clinton and many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister: Jodi Blodgett,
grandfather: Carl Hill, Jr. and step-grandfather Jerome Turner.

Phyllis L. King, 84 of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Friday, March 7,
2008 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. Phyllis was born on
February 29, 1924 in Port Clinton to Clifford and Leona Franck. On
September 14, 1942 in Danbury, OH she married Chancie King and he
preceded her in death on June 11, 1998. Phyllis worked for many years
at Standard Products.

Ralph D. Boling, 74, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Friday, February
29, 2008 at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born
on December 28, 1933 in Nile, OH, the son of James W. and Gwendolyn
(Hodge) Boling. Ralph worked as a laborer for Standard Products for
over 40 years retiring in 1993. He also drove a fish truck for many
years. Ralph was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He was a
trustee and an active member of the David W. Leonard Aerie #2295, a
member of the Homer D. Gardner Post #2480 and a past member of the
Moose Lodge #1610. Ralph loved to fish.
