Kristy L. (Rose) Seamon, 29, of Marblehead, Ohio, died Saturday, March
22, 2008 at her residence. She was born on November 15, 1978, in
Ashland, Ohio, the daughter of Roger D. Rose and Cynthia J. Evans. On
May 23, 1998 she married John P. Seamon and he survives. Kristy
attended Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton and the United Methodist
Church, Savannah, OH.

Richard E. Merrill, Sr. 83, formerly from Catawba Island, OH and New
Port Richey, Florida, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Bayonet
Point Regional Medical Center in Hudson, FL. He was born April 8, 1924
in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late LeRoy H. and Mildred (Donahue)
Merrill. In 1949, he graduated from The University of Alabama with an
Industrial and Operational Engineering degree. He married Jo Ann
(Jackson) Merrill on May 6, 1950 and she preceded him in death on
January 12, 2006. After a 31 year career with New Departure Hyatt, a
Division of General Motors, he retired in 1986. He was a veteran of the
United States Army, serving in the 95th Infantry during World War II.
Mr. Merrill was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Port
Clinton, OH, where he was active in many functions.

Anna Marie Meacham, 87, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Wednesday,
March 19, 2008 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, OH. Anna
Marie was born on February 13, 1921 in Fremont, OH to Charles and Lena
(Kraak) Pasch. She had worked at Standard Products for 37 years
retiring in 1983. Anna Marie enjoyed collecting glassware of all kinds.
After retirement she enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips. Anna Marie
was a past member of the Moose Lodge # 1610 in Port Clinton. She was a
member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton.

Dorothy Colvin, 85, of Lakeside, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008 at
Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born in Lakeside, OH on
February 16, 1923, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Sceranko) Mizla.
Dorothy was a graduate of Danbury High School in 1941. On November 8,
1952 she married Dallas Colvin and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Dorothy worked at Standard Products for many years. She was a member
of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH.

 Ethel E.W. Hehr, 100, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, March 16, 2008
at her residence. She was born on February 27,1908 in Castalia, OH, to
Ross and Carrie (Boyer) Whitaker. Ethel married Milton Hehr on October
22, 1925 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1997. She was a
25 year member of the EUB Church, which became Faith United Methodist
and thereafter she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in
Port Clinton. She was a past-matron and 50 year member of the O.E.S. #
267 in Port Clinton. Ethel was also past-president of the Ottawa
County Women's Republican Club.
