The next meeting of the Sandusky County Kin Hunters will be on Sunday, May 18th at 2:00 pm at the Sandusky Twp. Hall on Rt. 19 North in Fremont. The program will be presented by Gayle Mehling and Tom Fishbaugh.  They will discuss; "Repairing Headstones, the Right Way".  Kin Hunters is also collecting Non Perishable Food and Clothing for the Liberty Center.  The meeting is free and open to anyone interested in family history. There is ample parking and the building is handicapped accessible. For further information, contact Dave at 419-502-7620.
The Community Health Ministry will be sponsoring "The Gathering", Thursday, May 29th from 4:30-6pm at St. John Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton. Free dinner. Free blood pressure checks. Open to the public.

ImageCarolyn Renwand (left), a victim's rights advocate for Ottawa County, was the recipient of the first ever Larry Noblitt Liberty Bell Award presented at the Port Clinton Kiwanis Club Meeting on Wednesday, May 7. The award was presented by Lorraine Croy of the Ottawa County Prosecuting Attorney's office. Renwand was one of 4 nominees for the award. The presentation was made at the local Kiwanis Club's annual Law Day observance. The main speaker was University of Toledo Law Professor, Benjamin Davis. (Photo by John Schaffner)
