On December 28, the Oak Harbor boys' basketball team got its second win of the season - first since the Rockets opened the season with a 4-point victory over Lake.
After that victory over the Flyers nearly a month ago, the Rockets fell victim to their opponents in seven straight games.
In Sandusky Bay Conference action last Friday, the Rockets defeated the Huron Tigers 46-41. Brian Greggila scored 14 points and J.C. Hemminger scored 11 and grabbed six rebounds as the Rockets rolled.

BCS Recognizes 2007 Girls Cross Country Team PDF Print E-mail

At the December 18, 2007 Regular Board meeting, Alison Wolf, High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, recognized the Girls Cross Country team for its achievements in the 2007 season.  For the second year in a row, the Girls Cross Country team finished first in the SBC.  The team also finished first at districts for the first time.  The team included; Grace Brickmanis, Kia Frank, Ashley Madison, Ashley Mauder, Katie Millinger, Allie Reynolds, Samantha Reynolds, Kristin Rios, and Tory Wood.

Your team is playing in the toughest environment in the Conference, against the team picked to win it all, your team is loaded with sophomores and you are down by 13 at the end of the first quarter. Game over, right? Wrong!
The Port Clinton Redskins did not panic or hang their heads when Sandusky St. Mary's Central Catholic jumped on them for an 18-5 lead after the first quarter.

Over my years of covering High School basketball, I have learned that, often, the games played between the Christmas and New Years Holidays can be snoozers. However, when Port Clinton travels to Sandusky St. Mary's on Friday night, first place in the Sandusky Bay Conference will be at stake, and I don't think a lack of intensity will likely be seen.

PC Athletic Booster Show Features All-SBC Athletes PDF Print E-mail

The Port Clinton Athletic Booster Show on Time Warner Cable Channel 20 will feature the Port Clinton High School athletes who received All-Sandusky Bay Conference honors or were MVP's for the Fall Sports Season.  Host Rod Gale interviews the students and highlights both their academic and athletic success.  Seventeen of the twenty PCHS students who were named to All-SBC teams or MVPS will be highlighted. 
Stan Stewart, Executive Sandusky Bay Conference Treasurer- Secretary, is also a special guest on the show.  Tune in to cable channel 20 daily at 1 a.m., 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to watch the Port Clinton Athletic Booster Show.
