Friday, 11 January 2008 |
It's a good thing the Port Clinton Redskin boys' basketball team is not
playing in the Northern Ohio League. They would be 0-3. However, they
are in the Sandusky Bay Conference where they are 7-0!
Friday night, the Redskins struggled mightily, but still came out with
the "W" over defending SBC Champ Perkins by a 43-39 count. Josh Francis
led the Redskins with 14 points, followed by Tory Horne with 10,
including a couple of big 3-pinters.

Port Clinton's Varsity Girls almost caught the undefeated Clyde girls
in the Conference tournament held at Cedar Lanes in Sandusky January 5.
"We started slow, our lowest score of the year the first game, but
outscored Clyde by nearly 100 pins over the last 2 games and Baker,"
said Coach Bob Black. "I believe our girls will give them a competitive
match when they visit us in a couple of weeks. We were only 32 pins
behind them. All 5 girls rolled 400 series and are really improving."
