Redskins Look to Finish Strong |

While January was a struggle, February is proving to be a good month
for the Port Clinton Redskins who upped their overall record to 13-6
and will be looking to make it a 14-6 regular season when they play
their regular season finale at Perkins on Friday.
Before the season, Sandusky St. Mary's was supposed to be the team that
challenged Clyde for the Sandusky Bay Conference championship. They
were an experienced, veteran group coming off a good season.

Lakers Win Two Out Of Three Games |

The Danbury boys' basketball team defeated the Old Fort Stockaders on Tuesday, February 5th by a score of 55-45.
Nick Wiedenhoft led the Lakers with 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 3
steals, while Michael Hamann contributed 10 points, 8 assists, 4
rebounds, and 2 steals. Travis Waggoner had a solid all-around
performance with 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Brian
Pruitt and Collin Westine each contributed 8 points each.

Cox Signs Letter of Intent |

Port Clinton High School Senior and standout athlete Jarrod Cox signed his letter of intent to continue playing football at the collegiate level. Jarrod, his friends, family and coaches gathered February 6 in the Performing Arts Center lobby to sign his letter of intent with Grand Valley State in Michigan.
A few of Jarrod's accomplishments at PCHS include: Football, 4 yr. lettermen, Team MVP - Senior; 2nd Team All-SBC - Sophomore and Junior; 1st Team All-SBC - Senior (offense and defense); 2nd Team All-Northwest District - Senior; Honorable Mention - Toledo Blade - Senior; SBC All-Academic; Track, 4 yr. lettermen; 2nd Place SBC - 300m hurdles; 3rd Place SBC - 100m dash; Basketball, 2yr. lettermen.

Oak Harbor won their first back to back SBC championship since the 1989 and 1990 seasons this past weekend.
With 11 guys wrestling in the first through fourth place matches, the
Rockets only had a two point lead over their perennial wrestling
rivals, the Clyde Fliers. That would soon change as 10 out of the 11
wrestlers won their final bouts.
