Coldwater swept both the Girls and Boys Titles in District Bowling Competition at Varsity Lanes in Bowling Green on February 23.
Defending District and State Champion Coldwater won the Boys Division with 5043 over 2nd place Celina's 4666. Both teams advance to the State Finals at Tiki Lanes in Lancaster next Friday. Port Clinton (6th) was the highest finishing Boys team with 4400, Clyde was 7th with 4395.

Signups for Port Clinton Youth Summer Baseball/Softball will continue to Friday, February 29.  Forms are available on line at www.pcybsa.org. and are to be dropped off or mailed to PC Board of Education (must write on envelope C/O PCYBSA) from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon.-Fri., 431 Portage Dr., Port Clinton.

RedskinsThe Port Clinton boys basketball team has made it out of Sectionals and plays Wednesday night in the first round of the Districts against State-Ranked Ontario at Mansfield Senior High School. In tournament play, things usually get harder the higher you climb the ladder.
Last week, the Redskins made it into the Sectional Finals with a win over Edison, giving Port Clinton a 2-1 advantage for the season series. Unfortunately, the loss kept PC from tying for the Sandusky Bay Conference title. They made certain that would not happen again.

RedskinsThis is the time of year that high school sports junkies and enthusiasts wait for every year. The State Swimming Tournament, this weekend's District Wrestling Tournament, and of course, basketball, boys and girls basketball. Communities have been known to go nuts at this time of year, Just ask Oak Harbor boys coach Don Christie, who along with his twin brother, led the Rockets all the way to the State finals back in 1982.
For the Port Clinton Redskins, they are uniquely positioned to compete in Division III this year. They dropped from Division II, which means that they won't have to face their old adversaries like Bellevue, Fostoria, Norwalk or Willard.

his letter of intent to play soccer at Tiffin University. Surrounding Kyle (clockwise from left) are his father
Doug Millinger, PCHS Principal Ralph Moore, Coach Paco Romero and his mother Linda Millinger.  Kyle plans to major in Criminal Justice.
