The Port Clinton boys basketball team began the season with hope and a
big future. They ended their season the same way Wednesday night as
they lost a 69-57 decision to 9th ranked Ontario in the District
Semi-Finals at Mansfield Senior High School.
The Redskins came roaring back at the end of the 2nd quarter after
falling behind early. It was certainly nothing new to this team, but
when your playing a 20-2 squad, the hill is pretty steep.

The Immaculate Conception Port Clinton C.Y.O. Girls 5th and 6th Grade Basketball team won the East Tri-Deanery Tournament on Sunday, February 24 against Fremont St. Joe's. Tournament games began February 16th with a win, then February 23rd and finally the championships. The girls were led by coaches Duane and Lori Colstin and Ginger Weaver.

The long and storied history of Oak Harbor High School Wrestling has
never seen anything like this. Three Oak Harbor seniors gained the Ohio
High School Athletic Association Division II finals, and all three
walked off the mat as State Champs. Unprecedented!

Netherland 7th in OHSAA Singles |

Port Clinton Junior Justin Netherland traveled to Lancaster for the
Ohio State High School Athletic Association State Tournament Friday and
returned with a 7th place finish.
A total of 96 High School Bowlers competed, 80 from the 16 teams
making it to the state Finals, and another 16 from district tournament
Competition.
Justin started with a 256 then followed with 230 & 192 for his 678 series at Tiki Lanes.

Rocket Wrestlers Take 6 to Columbus for Major Shot at State Wrestling Title |

Despite defeating Eastwood in a dual match earlier this season, Oak
Harbor finished second this past weekend at the Division II District
tournament behind the first place Eagles at Fostoria.
Eastwood took the team title by six points 144.5 to 138.5 points. Six
Rocket wrestlers are headed to the state tournament as well.
Freshman Jake Cramer punched his ticket to state by finishing third at
the 103 pound class. Another freshman, Konner Witt, earned his first
state birth at 125 by finishing third. Both wrestlers advanced to the
semifinals and lost but won their next two matches to help advance
themselves to Columbus.
