Lady Redskins take on Margaretta


The Lady Redskins volleyball team played the Lady Bears Tuesday night. The JV team fell in two 15-25, 15-25. Ellen Walters was aggressive in the front row while Chloe Cook and Abigail Wuersig served well for the Redskins. The Varsity team lost in three 12-25, 11-25, 11-25. Sophomore Sydney Alexander led the Lady Redskins with 5 kills and 7 digs while sophomore Marrisa Day added 11 digs and junior Allie Schroeder chipped in 7. The Lady Redskins are back in action Thursday at SMCC.


Redskins defeat Danbury and Woodmore in volleyball

The Lady Redskins hosted Danbury and Woodmore in volleyball this weekend. 

The Varsity team finished the day with two wins over Danbury and Woodmore. The Redskins took Woodmore to three, winning two sets 25-11, 25-12 and losing one 23-25. Marissa Day led the ‘Skins with 9 kills and 7 digs while Sydney Alexander chipped in 6 kills. Setter Hannah Sarty finished with 25 assists. Against Danbury the Redskins went three sets, 26-24, 21-25, 25-18. Middle hitter/blocked Taylor Zink finished with 4 solo blocks and Marissa Day finished with 12 kills. The Lady Redskins have won three of their last four games.


Oak Harbor Volleyball team finishes 4th at MBK tournament

The Oak Harbor Varsity Volleyball team came away 4th out of 8 at the MBK invitational with a 1 and 2 record.  They defeated Sandusky in the first round which put them in the winner's bracket; they were then defeated by Clearview (who finished 2nd) and then Clyde who finished 3rd.  

Their next match is Tuesday at Edison.
