Danbury rallies to defeat Emmanuel Christian

With an outstanding team effort, the Danbury Lakers volleyball varsity finished their season with a comeback victory against Emmanuel Christian on Thursday night. After losing the first set 17-25, the Lakers took the next three 25-20, 25-23, 25-15.

Seniors Lindsay Mark, Erin Lavelle and Allison Ahrens were honored before the game, and made their last match a memorable one.

Oak Harbor loses to Perkins in volleyball

The Oak Harbor varsity volleyball team lost to Perkins Monday night, 16 - 25, 21 - 25, 14 - 25.  Jordyn Thorp had 10 kills, Emma Bergman had 7 assists, Athena Eli had 23 of 27 playable serve receptions.  The Rockets play @ Margaretta for their last regular season game on Thursday.  The JV lost to Perkins in 2.

Lady Redskins volley for a cure

Thursday evening the PC volleyball teams hosted a Volley For the Cure event to raise money for the Susan. G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The teams sold shirts, had a 50/50 raffle and had a bake sale to benefit the cause. Superintendent Pat Adkins shared some inspirational words and the national anthem was sung by breast cancer survivor Julie Walker. All of the proceeds will be donated for breast cancer research and awareness. 

In Varsity action the Redskins lost to Huron 11-25, 11-25, 11-25.

The JV team lost in two 9-25, 6-25. Tarrynn Edgefield was aggressive in all aspects of the game. Abigail Wuersig also did a great job on serves received.
