First of four events in unique United Way golf scramble

On Saturday, May 16, 11 teams of golfers played the beautiful 18 holes at Oak Harbor Golf Club for the benefit of United Way in Ottawa County.

The first in a series of 4 outings dubbed the United Way in Ottawa County Golf Experience, the Oak Harbor outing featured a competitive and good-humored field. The team of Craig Jess and Randy Ebelinger won for Low Gross, while the team of Mike Riddle and Drew Reynolds won for Low Net, and the husband and wife team of Don and Leslie St. Clair won the Low Mixed division.

United Way Golf Experience

The United Way of Ottawa County has created something unique and fun that will serve to bring the county together and support worthy causes: the United Way in Ottawa County Golf Experience 2015. A team of volunteers has coordinated with four courses across Ottawa County to create formats and a participation strategy that will be both affordable and worthwhile for the residents of Ottawa County.

Summer lunch and fun starts June 2

When school is out, the fun begins.  Lunch is being served for all school-aged children at two locations in Port Clinton again this summer at 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday until August 14 at Lakeview Estates Community Room and Bay Meadows Community Room.  All children are welcome to attend, since there are no income or residency requirements. Registration will take place the first day, June 2, at each site.
