Rockets score 24 unanswered points to defeat PC

Trailing by seven points at halftime, Oak Harbor could fold and drop to 0-4 on the season, or it could fight back and take control of its contest with rival Port Clinton.

The Rockets chose the latter, rallying to score 24 consecutive points in its 31-14 defeat of the Redskins in Sandusky Bay Conference action.

Lakers fall short in comeback attempt versus Edon

Down 27 points midway through the third quarter, the easy thing for the Danbury Lakers to do would’ve been to quit.

Instead, Danbury rallied, cutting the deficit to 13 and 11 points, respectively, before falling short, losing, 54-43, to Edon in Toledo Area Athletic Conference on Friday.

Trailing 48-21, the Lakers drove 60 yards in 10 plays, scoring on Taylon Molnar’s five-yard run up the middle, cutting the deficit to 20 points.

Port Clinton slays the beast defeating Genoa, 27-19

After losing to Genoa by 71 points last season, many people would figure Port Clinton was just hoping to have a respectable showing against the Comets this time around.

The Redskins, however, were looking for much more than that, and managed to come up with what was probably their biggest victory in two decades, defeating Genoa, 27-19, to improve to 3-0 on the season.

It was just another step in the rebuilding process that appears to have accelerated under head coach Beau Carmon, who was proud to see his kids avenge last year’s 84-13 loss to the Comets.
