The 2015 Port Clinton Redskins started the season with a bang scoring forty-nine first half points in its opener. However, the P.C. offense had been unable to duplicate its big play scoring in recent weeks and the Redskin faithful have been hoping to see its return. Friday, in the fourth quarter at “The Duck Pond,” they got their wish.


Calvert defeats Lakers through the air 42-16

Coach Keith Mora was looking for his Danbury Laker squad to get off to a better start against Tiffin Calvert than they had the last two weeks. “We wanted to take their running game away from them,” said Mora and his young Lakers responded. The Laker defense held Calvert, a playoff contender the last few seasons, scoreless the first quarter. This included turning the Senacas away in the red zone, and the score was 0-0 at the end of the first. A much better first quarter showing by the Lakers.


Chargers Score Late To Secure Win Over Rockets 27-19


Coach Mike May thought the Rocket non-league schedule would prepare his team for the rugged Sandusky Bay Conference. Surviving those games with a 2-1 record the Rockets were ready to take on the Edison Chargers, 3-0 and ranked 15th in Division V in the first Associated Press poll of the year.
