Danbury Lakers

This Season: 11-12 Overall
Last Season: 3-20 Overall

Pre-Season Prediction: 7th of 9 teams (4-12)
2015-2016 Season Finish: 6th of 9 teams (7-9)

Season Review:  Despite being one of the smallest schools in the TAAC (8th of 9), the Lakers were looking to make strides this season and move up the ladder in the TAAC standings. Coming off a 3-20 season in which the Lakers finished 8th in the conference, the 2015-16 season was a success as the Lakers finished in the middle of the pack and were able to compete much better against the conference’s top contenders this season.  Danbury exceeded pre-season expectations and if not for early games against Stritch and Emmanual Christian, a 2 point and 3 point losses, it would have been an even bigger success. The two December losses were missed opportunities that would have left the Lakers with an overall winning record, a TAAC record of 9-7 and a fourth place TAAC finish.

Danbury Lady Lakers

Head Coach: Adam Steinbrick
This Season: 8-15 Overall
Last Season: 7-15 Overall
Graduating Seniors: 1

Pre-Season Media Day Prediction: 6th of 9 teams (6-10)
2015-2016 Season Finish: 6th of 9 teams (5-11)

Season Review: The Lady Lakers were coming off a season that saw them finish in the middle of the TAAC standings and in 2015-16 were once again expected to be in the middle of the TAAC pack. The Lady Lakers met expectations. They were able to beat the teams they were predicted to beat, but could not come up with an upset of one of the perennial TAAC powers. However, the Lady Lakers were able to hold their ground in the conference with nine of the eleven players on the roster freshmen or sophomores. They will be an experienced team heading into next season and will look to move into the upper tier of the conference. That may prove to be a tough task as Danbury is one of the smallest teams in the conference with four TAAC opponents with twice the enrollment as the Lady Lakers.
