The Lady Lakers pressured the Lakota Lady Raiders into 38 turnovers and held them to only 11 second half points as Danbury defeated Lakota 60-30. The up tempo pace of the Lady Lakers caused problems for the Lady Raiders throughout the game. Not only was Danbury able to force turnovers, but the pace led Lakota to forcing shots which the Lady Lakers were able to turn into transition baskets. Danbury led after one period 12-7 and stretched it to 32-19 at the half. It was all Danbury in the second half as they outscored Lakota 28-11 to seal the win.


Lakers fall to Stockaders

The Danbury Laker defense held Old Fort scoring leader Hootie Cleveland to only 4 points, but fourth quarter shooting woes for the Lakers was too much to overcome as they fell to the Stockaders 57-42. Danbury came out of the gate fast to take an early lead and led 13-12 at the end of the first period. In the second quarter the Stockaders turned the tables on the Lakers by outscoring them by an 18-11 margin and went into the half leading 30-24. Old Fort added to their lead in the third quarter and led 45-34 entering the fourth quarter. The Lakers made a run at the Stockaders in the fourth quarter and cut the lead to 6 points with four minutes to play, but that was as close as they would get as Old Fort pulled away for the victory.
