Oak Harbor boys defeat Danbury, 62-32

The Oak Harbor Rockets took control early and defeated Danbury, 62-32, in non-conference action Saturday in Marblehead. Oak Harbor (6-14) outscored the Lakers 17-3 in the first quarter to control and led 35-9 at halftime.

Tyler Sievert led all scorers with 13 points and Cole Weirich and Andre Ramsey finished with nine points apiece. Caleb Gerber had eight points to lead Danbury (4-16). Seth Vargo chipped in with six points and Connor Lenthe finished with five.


Danbury boys defeat Northwood

Danbury 52, Northwood 40

Caleb Gerber led the Lakers with 15 points in their 52-40 victory over Northwood. The win puts Danbury at 4-16 overall and 3-9 in the TAAC, good for sixth place.

The Lakers host Ottawa Hills and Emmanuel Christian this week before beginning tournament play next week. Danbury faces the winner of St. Mary CC and Seneca East on Feb. 28 at 6:15 p.m. at Norwalk High School in the Division IV Sectional Tournament.
