Danbury girls sit at .500 in the league

Danbury slowly built their lead over the course of the game before pulling away in the fourth quarter of their 31-23 victory over Maumee Valley Country Day. Holding a 23-19 lead after three quarters, the Lakers outscored the Hawks, 8-4, in the final period to get the win. 

Danbury is now 5-5 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference. Megan Stephens led all scorers with 12 points and Erin Lavelle chipped in with seven.

Danbury boys fall to Toledo Christian

Toledo Christian took control from the outset, grabbing a 12-point lead after the first quarter before cruising to a 59-41 victory over Danbury in Toledo Area Athletic Conference action.

The Eagles, which improved to 10-6 overall and 7-2 with the win, led 17-5 after one quarter and 40-14 at halftime. 

Connor Lenthe led the Lakers (2-12, 1-6 TAAC) with nine points, Caleb Gerber finished with seven points and Dominic Manuella and Hunter Stinchcomb scored six points apiece.
