Danbury Township holds blue ribbon dog show

On Sunday, May 17, the second annual Danbury Township blue ribbon dog show was held at the Bark until Dark off leash Dog Park. There were 46 dogs registered at the show and close to $800 was raised to benefit the Humane Society of Ottawa County. Over 150 attended the event.


Danbury Middle School track members break school records

At a track meet at Northwood Middle School, the Danbury Middle School track team set new school records in the boys’ 4x200 meter relay and the girls’ discus.

In the 4x200 meter relay, John Holzaepfel, Javion Large, Logan Faulkner and Ryon Nelson sprinted to a new record time of 2:00.8.  This topped the previous school record of 2:02.5 set in 2011 by Jacob Kuebler, Shay Rickard, Chase Botson, and John Rhodes.
