Redskin girls’ basketball winter camp for grades K-4

The Port Clinton Lady Redskins Basketball Program will be hosting a winter camp for girls in grades K-4 on Saturdays during the months of December and January.  The sessions will take place from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. at Bataan Memorial Elementary School.  Camp sessions will be held on the following dates:  December 6, 13, 20, January 3, 10, 17, 24, 31.

The cost for the winter camp is $10 and each participant will receive a t-shirt.  Learning about the game of basketball and practicing basic skills (as well as having fun!) will be the focus of the camps.

Redskin hoopsters lead area AAU team to victory

Brothers Carter and Tytan Rumball helped the Ohio Ballistics AAU basketball team to a 5-0 record and tournament victory at the 21st Annual Cougar Classic in Columbus on March 23. The Ohio Ballistics is composed of players from area high schools including Fremont Ross, Fremont St. Joe, Gibsonburg, Bellevue, Port Clinton, and Tiffin Columbian.

Boys basketball head coach needed at PCHS

The Port Clinton City School District is in need of a Head Boys Basketball Coach to replace Coach Troy Diels. Coach Diels is resigning from his coaching position after nine years at the helm but will remain with the district as PCMS Assistant Principal.

Limited teaching positions may also be available.

The Port Clinton City School District is a district of approximately 1800 students located on the shores of Lake Erie.  In 2013, the District completed a construction project to build state-of-the-art schools, funded by the generosity of the community. The new school includes Bataan Memorial Elementary Campus (Primary PK-2 and Intermediate Grades 3-5), a New Middle School (grades 6-8) on the high school campus and one high school (9-12).  More information is available online at www.pccsd.net.
