OH girls win fourth straight, improve to 8-2

With a 54-36 win over Margaretta last week, the Oak Harbor Rockets improved to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the Sandusky Bay Conference.

It was the fourth consecutive win for Oak Harbor, which took an early 11-8 lead after the first quarter before pushing the lead to 25-17 at the half before slowly pulling away in the final two quarters.

Rockets rally to defeat Wildcats

Despite trailing by four points late in the fourth quarter, the Oak Harbor Rockets rallied to defeat Woodmore, 33-30, in non-conference action last weekend to improve to 3-6 on the season.

Andy Rathbun, who was fouled on a three-point shot with just under two seconds remaining, made all three of his free throws to account for the difference in Oak Harbor's victory over the Wildcats, who are now 1-8 on the season.

Danbury girls defeat Lakota

Erin Lavelle led all scorers with 17 points as Danbury trounced Lakota 51-23 in a non-conference action.

The Lakers took control early and led 16-3 after the first quarter and 34-9 at halftime.

The Lakers scored the first 16 points and led 16-3 after one quarter. The advantage was 34-9 at the half.

Megan Stephens had 10 points and seven rebounds to help pace Danbury.
