When Michael arrived at the stable Thursday he had been sitting in his wheelchair all day. Eager to ride, he mounted his horse Sprite, and took to the show ring. At first when Michael started around the ring he was tense, but as he and Sprite circled the ring Michael became more comfortable and loosened up. The volunteers and the program director, Rebekah Recker, guided Michael through exercises as he rode that helped loosen his body.

Rockets pull away from 'Skins in rivalry game

PC's Nathan Stubblefield struggles for extra yards between two Oak Harbor defenders

In the end, Oak Harbor's physicality was just too much for Port Clinton.

Behind an offensive line that established control early in the game, the Rockets rushed for 421 yards in its 33-7 defeat of the Redskins.

Quarterback Cole Weirich rushed for 167 yards on 14 carries to go with two touchdowns and senior running back Ben Genzman carried it 18 times for 156 yards and three scores.

Oak Harbor Volleyball team finishes 4th at MBK tournament

The Oak Harbor Varsity Volleyball team came away 4th out of 8 at the MBK invitational with a 1 and 2 record.  They defeated Sandusky in the first round which put them in the winner's bracket; they were then defeated by Clearview (who finished 2nd) and then Clyde who finished 3rd.  

Their next match is Tuesday at Edison.
