Children helping Children annual clothing drive

The twelfth annual C.H.C. (Children Helping Children) clothing sale will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Shoreline Church (formerly Oak Harbor United Brethren), 769 N. Locust St. (SR#19), Oak Harbor. All clothing will be sold for $1per bag. Coats will be sold for $1each. 

All proceeds from the clothing sale will go towards helping the Ottawa County Holiday Bureau to provide toys for children in Ottawa County at Christmas time.

If you are interested in making a donation of gently used clothing, you can drop it off at Shoreline Church the week of October 28th.


OH Boys 2nd, PC Boys 3rd at SBC Championships

Behind a second-place finish from junior Tyler Sievert (16:28), the Oak Harbor boys cross country team finished second at the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships for the third consecutive year.

Port Clinton, meanwhile, finished in third place with 66 points, just one point behind the Rockets. Perkins won with 39 points. Huron (89), Edison (129), St. Mary CC (141), Clyde (172) and Margaretta (189) finished fourth thru eighth to round out the scoring.


SBC Girls Golf Final standings

The Sandusky Bay Conference Girls Golf standings had Port Clinton finishing fourth and Oak Harbor in sixth place.

Sophomores Morgan Hazzard and Madison Cole of Port Clinton were named to second team all-SBC. Oak Harbor junior Brooke Tice and Port Clinton Sophomore Emily Shaw were recognized with Honorable Mention.
