Ottawa Hills 38, Danbury 21

Trailing 16-12 at halftime, the Danbury Lakers were outscored, 8-0, in the third quarter as Ottawa Hills pulled away in its 38-21 victory.

Allie Dewire and Olivia Van Slooten led the Green Bears with seven points apiece and Michelle Healy chipped in with six.

With the win, Ottawa Hills finishes the regular season with a 11-9 record and a 9-5 mark in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference and the Lakers finish the year 10-12 and 9-5 in the TAAC, good for third place.

Stephanie Kukay led Danbury with five points and Lilly Kennedy, Megan Stephens and Erin Lavelle each finished with four points.

If the Lakers defeat St. Joseph CC, they'll face Cardinal Stritch on Saturday at Woodmore High School at 8 p.m for a Division IV Sectional Title.

Oak Harbor girls dominate St. Mary

Oak Harbor 87, St. Mary CC 40

In one of its best performances of the season, the Oak Harbor Rockets defeated St. Mary CC, 87-40, to finish the regular season with a 15-7 overall record and an 8-6 mark in the Sandusky Bay Conference.

Led by seniors Abbie Gezo and Maria Boers, Oak Harbor took a 20-10 lead after one quarter and led 40-23 at halftime before outscoring the Panthers, 29-6, in the third period.

Boers led all scorers with 22 points, including four 3-pointers, and Gezo finished with 17. Freshman Andrea Cecil was second on the team with 19 points and senior point guard Makayla Carpenter scored 14 points, including two 3-pointers.

Dani Parish led SMCC with 10 points and Hannah Snow finished with eight points.

 

Oak Harbor 59, Lakota 25

The Rockets controlled this one throughout, taking a 16-4 lead after the first quarter before pushing the advantage to 36-8 at halftime.

Andrea Cecil led the way with 18 points and Abbie Gezo finished with 17.

Lakota, which dropped to 3-17 with the loss, was led by Katie Park, who had 14 points.

Oak Harbor faces Perkins on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Sandusky High School in the Division II Sectional Semifinals. If the Rockets defeat the Pirates, they'll face Port Clinton on Saturday at 6:15 p.m. at Sandusky High School.

Margaretta 50, Oak Harbor 37

Holding a 36-35 lead midway thru the fourth quarter, Margaretta proceeded to go on a 14-0 run to put the game away in their 50-37 defeat of Oak Harbor.

Led by center Austin Moore, who finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds, the Polar Bears were able to outlast the Rockets.
