Stamp out Hunger thank you

To the Community of Danbury Township and the Letter Carriers of the Marblehead-Lakeside Post Office,

Thank you for your generosity of donated food items through the National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive. Thank you to our Letter Carriers who had to pick up and deliver the massive amount of food that was donated. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated.

The Danbury Food Pantry has been serving Danbury Township residents for 31 years and would not be able to do so if not for the community being involved through our local churches and programs such as this food drive. The food pantry on average serves 57 families a month providing three days of emergency food as well as hygiene items that families can’t buy with food stamps. The food pantry operates on the third Saturday of the month, 8:30-10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Proof of residence and proof of need is required to apply and the HEAP financial guidelines are followed.

Again, thank you to all who participated in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Janine Dress, Chair of the Danbury Food Sharing Program
