Port Clinton High School marketing students will be kept busy this year securing sponsorships from local businesses to attend the DECA Central Region Conference in Chicago in December. The 2010-11 DECA members have set a goal of $4,500 to help defray the cost of the conference and to purchase new DECA blazers worn during competition. Students have been issued an “Apprentice” challenge — putting guys vs. girls — to see which group can raise the most money. There are three sponsorship levels: gold — $100, silver — $65 and bronze —$35. Sponsorship forms are available at the school board office, high school main office and online at: www.pccsd.net look for DECA fundraising under the district news.
